(2nd) wife: Margaret ADEAR (nee .....?) Children: Mary, Charles, Elizabeth, Sarah, William, Jane, John, and Margaret. Children of 1st wife (nee ...........?): Ester, JAMES, Elliner, Catherine Exrs: (2nd) wife Magaret Adear, John Readduck / Rudduck (neighbor ) Wits: John Readduck, Joseph Brown Sarah ODEAR, m. 9 Jan 1798 Guilford, North Carolina to Francis CLARK. Guilford County marriage bond, 26 Mar 1785 James Thomas m. Milly CLARK. On 19 May 1786 James Thomas purchased 119 acres Guilford NC adjoining John Clark's millpond on the Reedy Fork of the Haw River. The land was purchased from Milly Clark’s parents, Francis CLARK and Christian Clark. On 16 Aug 1783 Lewis Thomas purchased 170 acres Guilford NC from Peter King jnr. on the Reedy Fork of Haw River. On 1 Aug 1785 his bro John Thomas purchased 148 acres Guilford NC from Richard Haworth. The land adjoined that of Aaron Mendenhall and was situated on the BRUSHY CREEK of the Reedy Fork of the Haw River. (Would this be another Brushy Creek ?) Would Adare / Adear / ODEAR / Adair may show up on the Guilford Co NC 1800 census near CLARK, MENDENHALL & Readdock / Ruddock (however spelt). Notify Administrator about this message?
