died Bet. 1840 - 1850 in Callaway Co., MO.
He m. Sarah Long, born in KY; died prior 1840 in Callaway Co., MO.
A google book search ( New-Castle Delaware Adair) brings up :
"Calendar of Delaware Wills, New Castle County, 1682-1800"
which contains references to some Adairs in various wills,
including -
John Adair. Blacksmith. Pencader Hundred.
Jan 15 1785.April 5 1785.M.94
Wife, Margaret.
sons, John and Joseph
daus, Agnes Callwell, Mary and Lydia
Executors, wife Margaret, Isaac Lewis.

David Adair in Pencader Hundred.(Newcastle County, DE) -
"BIOGRAPHY: David Adair of Pencarder Hundred, Deleware was a Loyalist. Property of all Loyalists was confiscated, hence the move to New Jersey. This was were all Loyalists families were impounded during the war. David's eldest son John, joined the New Jersey Volunteers and fought for the British during the Revolutionary War. He was captured by the rebels ad imprisonned until the end of the war. In 1795, David moved his family to Ontario Canada land grants given by the crown to the Loyalists. John Adair and his wife Phoebe, nee Mills also moved to Ontario after his relief."
