Relevant data regarding the name of Bailey Estes' first wife comes from Carroll Co., GA Deed Book M, p. 473. (1871) George W. Adair of Fulton County sold to Bailey Estes (in trust for the children born of his first wife Tilitha Estes (formerly Tilitha Adair) for $200, a tract of land in Carroll Co., GA containing 100 acres (plat described).

This land was previously purchased from Joseph B. Tanner in 1853. Tilitha (or Talitha) was George W. Adair's sister. Both George and his father John Fisher Adair purchased land in Carroll Co. in the 1850's.

My guess is that the clerk who entered the marriage info for her simply misunderstood her relatively uncommon first name and entered Delilah instead. They do sound alike.
