Elizabeth Gordon, married first, to John Grierson of Lag (Lagg),
from whom on 30 Dec 1558 she had a charter of the lands of Brocloch (Brokloch),
and m. 2ndly (contract 18 June 1566, Reg. of Deeds, viii, f.354) to
Ninian ADAIR, son and heir of William ADAIR of Kinhilt.
Elizabeth Gordon's father, John Gordon of Lochinvar, died at the battle of Pinkie 10 Sep 1547.
Ninian Adair, yr, sons listed as:
1. William Adair
2. James Adair of Corgie
....Helen Adair m. Kennedy ?
....(others ?)
ygst son ?....Rev. Archibald Adair of Raphoe.

Ulster Journal of Archaeology. p.11.
"The first outstanding graduate of St. Andrews in that area (Donegal, N. Ireland) was Dean Archibald Adair of Raphoe
(Matric. St. Salvator's, 1593; MA 1596).

At that time they may have matric. aged about 13yrs,
which would place Archibald Adair's birth about c.1580.
Would other Adairs have matric. at St. Salvator's, St.Andrews, Scotland ?
