I have been to the Montgomery County Courthouse in Christiansburg and to the courthouse in Pulaski, Virginia looking at Adair/Addair records. In both Montgomery and Pulaski Addair is written with 2 Ds so I am wondering if the spelling is adding to the difficulty of determining which James is which. My James Addair is on the Rev War list that was researched by M. Kegley, born around 1750, and the one who was guardian of Mounts, yet I can find no 1st wife for James Addair. Could someone help?
