re: The marriage license fee re the marriage of James Adair to Clark Hobson, St. Stephen's Parish, Northumberland County, Virginia, is recorded in Fee Book 1740-1742, which is indexed. That's on Microfilm Reel #74 (for Northumberland County) at the Virginia State Library in Richmond.
