Hi Cherokee Adair cousins!
Here is the will of John Adair with children listed by which mother. His daughter, Charlotte is my grgrgrandmother who married John Bell Jr. Hope this helps.

JAMES BAIRD.

I also purchased note from James Head paid forty
two dollars for relapsing
and carrying through some lands. This I request
him to make title to my
son Thomas Benjamin Adair.

Creek, John MOORE and SLOAN.

In Professor Robert L. Meriwether's book, THE EXPANSION OF SOUTH
CAROLINA 1729-1765 (1940). "The Settlement of the Back Country," p. 121:
James ADAIR, the Chickasaw Trader, and later author of the HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN INDIANS, recently ruined in the attempt to win the Choctaws to the English alliance, graced the household of (James) Francis with his presence during 1750 and 1751. He went to the Cherokees in company with HENRY FOSTER, the two carrying two keps of rum and perhaps other Indian trade commodities..."
