This is some information relative to James Adair Sr. that I found at the National Archives in Washington D.C.. This is not my James, but I thought it could be useful to someone. James Adair Sr., who was born in Bucks Co., Pa., May 8, 1752, served in the Revolutionary War. This data was obtained from pension claim, S.9264, based upon the military records of James Adare. He signed as Adare but was pensioned as James Adair He was born May 8, 1752, in Bucks Co., Pa. The name of his Parents were not given. While a resident of York District, South Carolinia, he inlisted in 1776 and served three weeks in Captain Frank Ross' company in Colonel Thomas Neel's South Carolinia regiment. He enlisted again in 1776 and served three month in Captain John McCool's company in Colonel David Hopkins' regiment. He inlisted in 1777 and served two mounths in Captain John McCool's Company. He was in an expedition against the Indians on the western frontier and at Horse Shoe on War Women's Creek were he was wounded in his left soulder by a ball.During the Revolution he moved to Carven County (which was later Chester District) South Carolinia. He was allowed pension on his application executed October 24, 1832, at which time he was living in Chester District South Carolinia, and was referred to as James Adare Sr. I am searching for info. on another line of Addair's. James Addair, born abt. 1750 and died abt. 6/13/1823 in Montgomery Co., VA James was my G.G.G.G. Grandfather. He married: 1st wife: Annis Harbison abt 1767. Their children were: James born 1768 died 3/24/1845 in Pulaski Co., VA Jane born 1770 died 2.10/1835 in Jackson Co. AL.. She married John Kirby. Thomas born 1775 died abt 1840 in Tennessee. He married Elizebeth Kirby. 2nd wife: Unknown abt 1780 Their children were: Elizabeth died bef. 1846. She married mark Johnson. Sarah died bef. 1846. She married John king John died bef. 1846. John's wife is unknown to me. John is my G.G.G. Grandfather William died bef. 1846 Mary died bef. 1846. She married Thomas Wiseheart Susanne born 1789 in Montgomery Co., VA died 10/2/1865 in Pulaski Co., VA.. She married David Summers 3rd wife: Martitia (letitia) Page on 9/2/1810 in Montgomery Co., VA (No Children) James and Unknown wife's son JOHN. My G.G.G. Grandfather. He married: Unknown Their children: Samuel (married Nancy Hensley 7/7/1836 in Lawrence Co., KY) John (married Swendy Kirk 3/19/1839 in Lawrence Co., KY) William Moses Born 1834 floyd Co., KY. He married First wife, Susie Florance. Second wife, Susanna Mullins. My G.G. Grandfather. Susie Florance is my G.G. Grandmother. Thomas James Nancy Phoebe John and his unknown wife's son MOSES Born 1834 in Floyd Co., KY Died 1898 in McDowell Co., WV

James is my G. Grandfather Born: July 12, 1861 in Buchanan Co., VA Died: February 15, 1946 in English, McDowell Co., WV

Grandmother) Their children" William Hayes, Benjamin, John G., Mose, Levi 2nd wife: Cynthia Lester Their child: Lucinda Lester Addair 3rd wife: Ellen White, abt. 1898 in WV Their children: Margaret Louise, Susie Florance, Lee Wallace, Bertha Edna, Mary Ellen, James Harvey, and Vicie Belle James and Laura Bell's son WILLIAM HAYES. My Grandfather Born: May 16, 1895 Died: May 28, 1952 in McDowell Co., WV
