I just posted a message to Jane Boggess on Walter Scott Adair and Nancy Harris. I am researching this line through Elizabeth Neely Adair who m. Timothy Meigs Walker. Elizabeth (Adair)Walker wrote that her grandparents were Edward Adair and Elizabeth Adair nee Scott. I don't know much beyond Walter Scott Adair, other than what is posted or written by others on that subject in the history of the Cherokees. Whether Scott was the maiden name (usually is when written preceded by a nee) or one of her husband's names. This information was written on No. 2179 Eastern Cherokees Application of Elizabeth Walker, for the Indian Office of Eastern Cherokees, Rec. 11-5-1906. If you find out any more about the Scott connection, I would be most interested. Zabette
