This is a Follow-up on James ADAIR b. 08 Jun 1790 who was in the 1830 census of Henry Co. GA.

We now have documentation on this James ADAIR:
James was born in York Co. South Carolina to John ADAIR and Jean FAIRES. John ADAIR b. abt. 1756 in New Castle DE (now PA). Jean FAIRES b. 14 Jun 1765 in York Co. PA to James FAIRES, Sr. and Jean ADAIR who came from DE to York Co.SC area before 18 Jan 1767.

We have never found any records that lists a middle name or initial for our James ADAIR b. 08 Jun 1790 in York Co. SC. [For awhile we did think his middle inital was "T" but this was due to confusion with another James Adair.]

The birth, death and marriage dates come from our ADAIR BIBLE.

James ADAIR b. 08 Jun 1790 d. 22 Mar 1851 in Memphis, Shelby Co. TN.

Ann SMITH b. 17 May 1789 in York Co. SC to John SMITH who d. after 01 Mar 1816. York Co. researchers believe that his wife was Margaret (Mary) (Polly) Ferguson. Ann died 16 Oct 1852 we believe in DeSoto, Tate or Marhsall Co. MS where their two sons lived but we've never been able to locate any burial site.

1820 York Co. SC - I believe this is our James Adair b. June 08, 1790.

I am still searching for Proof that William ADAIR b. 1799 in SC is a brother to James ADAIR b. 1790. They were the only ADAIR's listed in 1830 census of Henry Co. GA. All the Proof I've found is the fact that the wife of William ADAIR was Susannah Davis Rooker b. 1801 in York Co. GA to Rev. John Rooker & Anna Hawkins. John ADAIR & Jean FAIRES did have a son born abt. 1799 but I've not been able to prove this was Willliam ADAIR in Henry Co. GA.
