Mr. Allen,
This is my first contact regarding my family history. Last year at a local Scotish Festival, I was able to get some very basic info about my family.
Now spelled Daer (rhymes with bear), at one time "we" were Adairs. At the festival, one of the Clan booths narrowed down my family's area to the southwestern coast of Scotland - the Galloway area. I also found out that the Adairs were affiliated with the Maxwell clan.
If we are related, I can tell you that my great grandfather John Angus Daer came to the US around 1880 or so. Unfortunately, my family history is very limited. If you've any information that might help me, I'd greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Bill Daer
