Robert Adair, (21 yrs old, son of *Anna Helena who remarried Mr. Edmonston)
Benjamin Adair, Loghermore (a distant uncle ?)
*Robert Dolway, Dublin. (a distant uncle ?)
*Anna Helena Adair (nee Scott), widow of William Adair who dc.1661-2,
remarried Archibald Edmonston of (Red Hall / Ballycarry) Parish of Braid Island aka Parish of Templecorran. Anna Helena was mother of Sir Robert Adair II (above).
Perhaps Benjamin Adair & Robert Dolway may have been
trustees of the Adair estates until Robert Adair was 21yrs ?

William Edmonstone, 7th of Duntreath (and of Redhall, Antrim) c. 1618-c.1629
(grand-father of Jean Adair who m. her cousin, Rev. Patrick Adair).
Settled in Ireland and built the house of Redhall / Red Hall,
(map c.1850 Civil Parish of Templecorran aka Parish of Braid Island, co Antrim).
m. Isobel dau. of Sir John Haldane of Gleneagles, by whom he had 5 sons & 2 daughters.
1 Archibald Edmonston / Edmonstone, his heir.
2 James, m. his first cousin, Jean, dau. of John Cunningham of Cunninghamhead.
3 John, m. likewise his first cousin, Elizabeth,
....(dau. & heiress of James Edmonstone of Broich,
....by whom he got the lands of Ballybantry in Ireland, & had children.
....He was probably the ancestor of the American Edmonstones.
4 Robert d. unmarried.
5 Andrew d. unmarried.
The daughters were:
1 Helen m. 1stly *John Dolway of Belliehill, (*Bellyhill ?) Antrim, & had children.
...............m 2ndly, Colonel James Wallace of Auchans & Dundonald.
2 Jean m. *Sir Robert Adair I, of Kilhilt, Wigtonshire & Ballymena, co Antrim,
..................Sir Robert Adair’s aunt married William Houston.

Parish of Templecorran was also Parish of Braid Island, co. Antrim, N. Ireland.
Ref. Dublin Penny Journal, Vol.I #28 5 Jan 1833 -
1st Minister, Rev. Ed. Bryce, appointed 1611 d.1636
2nd. Rev. Mr. Cunningham, appointed 1645.
Not sure if this Cunningham family was from Ayr, Scotland,
and had land deeds with a Robert Houstoun.
There was a Robert Houstonne of Ballymena mentioned in an Adair deed,
(HA12/A2/1/29 18 Oct 1659) possibly son of Marion Houston (nee Adair).
In Griffiths Valuation c.1850s there was an Archibald Houston of
townland of Ballyhill Lower (Bellyhill), Civil Parish of Killead.

There are three mausoleums in Carmavy,
(see c1850 map Civil Parish of Killead, co. Antrim, N. Ireland,
townland of Grange of Carmavy, & t/land of Bellyhill / Ballyhill Upper & Lower)
one of Samuel Ferguson of *“Bellyhill”,
one of the Stewart family, and one of the Shaw family of “Ballytweedy House”.
Buried in the Samuel Ferguson mausoleum were his grandfather d.1775,
his mother d.1814, wife d.1817 and dau d.1815.
Thomas Ludford Stewart, Esq. of Seapark House, Carrickfergus,
was for a time Sheriff / Sovereign / Lord of Castle Belfast, d. 1845, 84-86 yrs.
In Shaw mausoleum was William Shaw d. 1774, 52yrs, and James Potter of Mount Potter, Co. Down, d.1779.
