agreeing Alexander McDowell should have the teinds of his lands in the parish.
In return for the consent of the patron and tacksmen
Alexander McDowell of Logan is to pay to the said Robert Adair 403 merks yearly.

to John Kennedy, Earl of Cassillis,
bearing Umquhil (dec'd) Gilb. Earl of Cassillis having infeft them (See GD25/1/792) in the 40 shilling land of Craufurdston, 2 merk land of Gunorston, 2 merk land of Peddingston, the meadow of Blairboy
and mill and mill lands of Cassillis, lying in the barony of Cassillis (Ninian Adair may have had this at one stage),
but redeemable upon payment by the said (dec'd) Earl to them of the sum of 1000 merks money of this Realm - And because the said John Earl of Cassillis as son and heir of the said Umquhil Earl had made payment to them of the said sum of 1000 merks, therefore they renounce resign in his Lordships hands the land of Craufurdston and others above mentioned, and declare the same lawfully redeemed.
