Mary Bishop today wrote that she knows that there are a lot of descendants of Richard Adair who married Mary Polly Tarr, and also of James Farris Adair and she recently found the marriage records for each of them.

Mary wrote : "For years we have been told that these
marriages were not at the Bourbon County Kentucky Court House. They were there all along. I have a very old marriage book for the Bourbon County Court records and I had found them there. So at last we know that this
old marriage book was right after all.

Richard Adair married Mary Polly Tarr , daughter of Charles Tarr & Marion Bishop Richardson on January 13, 1811. Richard was the son of Richard Adair, Sr and Jane Farris of New Castle Co Delaware.

Richard was born May 16, 1788, New Castle Deleware, and died November 1866, Nicholas County Ky. He is buried in the Carlisle City Cemetery at Carlisle, Ky (no stone).

He served in 1812 as a pack-horseman in the Nicholas Co, KY Infantry

Mary Polly Tarr was born October 10, 1796, Snow Hill Maryland , she died 1875, Nicholas Co. Ky."

Thankyou Mary. Happy New Year.
