My ex-husband William Amos Adair, 1932-1992, was the youngest son of William Amos Adair and Sarah G. King. We called him Bill and he said his family called him Scrub. He assumed himself to be the black sheep of the family. We visited Sarah twice in Ogden,Utah and they weren't very pleasant visits at all. Bill talked some about his dad, but only to say that he was an alcoholic. Reading your post, it must be in the genes as Bill also had an alcohol problem as did our only son, William Allen Adair who passed away just last Sunday, Sept. 26th of alcoholism. He was only 45 years old. Bill also talked some about his brother Gary and his sisters Myra, Kathryn, Ann, and Mary. Bill was the next child after Gary. Our daughter has asked me to see what I could find out about her father's family and I was really pleased to see your post. I know that she will want to know anything you can remember about them. Thank You'
