Shirley,
I don't think the Sarah Adair who was wife of the John Adair you mentioned married the Davis person of Burke Co. Ga. They had come from Laurens District of S.C. and I'm guessing associated with the Adairs of that County. After John Adair died in 1782 she married a second time to John Watson and then a third time to John Hansel. I don't know if it was just a coincidence that her sons Joseph, Benjamin and Hezekiah showed up in Jackson Co. Ga. around 1799 I think. There may be a connection to Bozeman Adare but I just don't know. I haven't seen any evidence they received any land there for any military service. Jackson Co. Ga. was a stopping place temporarily for a lot of people who were migrating from South Carolina since it was just across the border. But then again there could be some connection between Bozeman and his father William to the Laurens Co. S.C. Adairs but I just don't have proof of that. I will keep looking.
