re: "After Isaac was killed, Ruth ADAIR (nee Greer) sold her land and moved to Jackson Co., Ga. After that, I don't know what happened to Ruth, Jacob or Jane." Would the SC Archives have a record of the land which Ruth ADAIR sold ? Perhaps Lee may know of the exact location and Isaac (or John) Adair who purchased that land ? Would the Ruth ADAIR (below) be the widow, and was she granted the land in Jackson County as Rev.War payment. Would the purchase give any details of her late husband and his war service which may tie in with other Adairs ? Sorry, I do not have any information, it is a little difficult for me to research from here in South Australia. "Oct. I, 1805, Samuel STUART / STEWART purchased from Ruth ADAIR, both of Jackson County, (GA ?) 100 acres on North Fork of Oconee, part of a tract granted Joseph McConnell Jan. 19, 1789. Samuel STUART / STEWART sold to Joseph SKEEN Aug. 29, l8ll (Deed Book E, pp's. 538, 537)." Notify Administrator about this message?
