Does your James Adair go back to the immigrant Dr. James Robert Adair born c 1715 Antrim, Ireland, to N. C. Spent his life among the Cherokees and Creeks, and published a book on them? Married first a Cherokee girl Sarah Ann McCarty. Secondly a white girl, Elizabeth Hobson? He must have been a most interesting man.
