Date: 1767/12/21Description:
FOSTER, JOHN,
PLAT FOR 100 ACRES ON LONG CANE CREEK.
Names Indexed:
TROUP, JOHN/
FOSTER, JOHN/
DENHAM, WILLIAM/
ROSS, ANDREW/
NELSON, JOHN (may have been the surveyor)
Locations: LONG CANE CREEK/BOLD BRANCH

I wonder if this John FOSTER was connected by marriage to John ADAIR ?

Robert ODAIR was granted a plat in 1760.
(Would it have been for services of Capt. James Adair with Capt. Montgomery under Colonel Grant in Virginia ?)

James ADAIR in his book wrote about the Long Cane Settlement about that time or 1763.

A Robert ADAIR was granted a plat c.1767, but am not sure if he emigrated perhaps with McKelvys about that time.
