I am looking for information on JAMES ADAIR born 1787 in South Carolina. He married MARGARET PETTIT, born 1790 in Tennessee (dau of Thomas Pettit)). The children of James and Margaret are: WILLIAM L.. (born 1813, married Martha Brown 27 Jun 1840 in White Co., TN) :
LEWIS (born 1817, married Catherine Kiethley in White Co., TN)
JAMES M. (born 1817)
PLEASANT (born 1827, married 1st Mary R. Earles, 2nd Nancy J. Simmons in White Co., TN)
LEA (no information)
SUSANNAH E. (born 1831, married Wm Simmons 10 Aug 1848)
MARGARET (born 1834, married Thomas Adair in White Co., TN)
