Hope that you will post the name. I just got back from Scotland and did not find a Clan Adair. Did find that they were connected with Clan Maxwell in one shop and Clan Macalister at another source. The history I found did connect them with a "fugitive son of Fitzgerald, Earl of Desmond of Adair in Ireland". It also mentioned several prominent Adairs and stated that they had land holdings. I do hope they had a Clan and a tartan. Next time I go, I will visit the Archieves.
