Thankyou Mary. Would Samuel Adair's house have been next to his mill (water-mill on a river ?). Perhaps he may have been buried on that property ?
There may be some Adair descendants living nearby who would be kind enough to put on their long boots (if necessary) and have a look around. Would you have had a look ?
My grandmother's family had water-mills in the south of England. She came from one which was built about the 1600's and was a museum when I took photos of it a few years ago. It looked lovely and peaceful.
