John Adair/Jane Fisher,Morgan Co., Ga. 1811
As I failed to keep good records of my Adair research, I'm bumbling around looking for connections to John Adair who was a son of Joseph Adair, born c1835,died 1812, Laurens Co., SC.
John died in 1813 in Morgan County, Ga.His brother Elisha Adair administered his S.C. estate.Widow Jane obtained Letters of Administration on 3 May 1813 for his Georgia estate.Somewhere I found a record of Robert F. Adair and John Adair (Morgan Co., Ga.) on 22 July 1811 being sued by William Wilkins for a payment (for what, I don't know). The two Adair's (probably brothers) promised Wilkins on that date to make good on the indebtedness.
Does anyone have a record/records which would confirm this Adair vs Wilkins debt and/or throw light on why they owed Wilkins, and if the payment was made to Wilkins?
Believe I also found that John and wife Jane's children:Farmer, John, and William were in the 1817 Morgan County, Ga. Lottery.
