I have a few pages from a book Titled
" Old & New Cherokee Indian families" by George Morrison Bell Sr. and I am not sure if what I have will help you but I will copy
fro you the few lines that I have on Joseph Adairs family.starting with his parents.
Thomas Adair-An Irishman born ca 1679 on Genoch Amtrim County,Ireland. He married in Scotland but no record of wife's name. He came to America in 1730 and is believed to have settled in Virginia or North Carolina . He died and was buried in that country. (He was the son of Alexander Adair). He was the father of--
1 James Adair born 1709 in Scotland
2. Joseph Adair,born ca 1711 in Scotland.
3. William Adair, 2nd,born ca. 1719 in Scotland.Married in 1754.
There is no further reference to Joseph . or at least I haven't found one just glancing through what I have. If you have access to Mr. Bells book it is chock full of Adairs. I have alot of family in it. I have several more pages of it if I can be of any help to you.
