Members of my Adair family were in the Knoxville area, but so far no connection has
been made with the John whom you mention.
Mine were the sons of James Addair who settled in Montgomery Co., Va. about 1773.
We don't know as yet where he came from. He
may be related to the Adairs of the Carolinas, but so far no proof. Thomas, son
of James was in Anderson Co., but left no sons. His 2 half-brothers went to Ky. One
settled in Warren Co. and the other on the
Va.-Ky. line.
