I have just added a report to my Home page on
Family Tree Maker showing the descendants of
James Ad(d)air of Virginia, d. 1823. The data was taken from a law suit concerning the
division of his son's estate in 1846-7. The
dates of death in most instances refer to the
fact that the individuals were living and
residing in the areas designated in 1846 (date of service of summons) and 1847 date of
the decree. This case was in the loose papers and even as a retired judge, I was
unsuccessful in obtaining a copy from the court clerk. I had to employ someone to do it
for me. Marriage dates in Ky. & Va. were from CD-rom. I haven't researched the siblings of my ancestor, Jane Addair Tunnell.
