Further research indicates that Spencer and Wallace were indeed sons of James Wallace Adair and Bessie Jessie Martin. However, Pearl was a sister to Jessie, not her daughter. Jessie and Pearl had another sister, Mary, who married Walter Frazier, according to family sources. These three girls (Jessie, Pearl, and Mary Martin) were daughters of Pinkney Jasper Martin and Mary Amanda Hilley. For more complete info, please see message #2148 on this forum.
