Dee, From me backward I am looking at Bertha Rea Smith > William Dwight Smith (Choctaw) & Minerva (Minnie) Pearl Goss (Cherokee) > William Goss & Martha Jane Smith. William Dwight Smith and Minerva Pearl Goss are also 1st cousins. According to what I've read the only line of Goss that had Cherokee blood came from the Adair connection. I am trying to find out if my William Goss is the same William Goss >Benjamin Franklin Goss (1827-1910) > Thomas Goss (1800-1884) Mary & Mary Adair (1805-?). I believe that William Dwight Smith was born in Tulsa Oklahoma. I can remember my mother and grandmother talking about one of the men ancesters leaving a family in Oklahoma and coming back to Arkansas for a new wife. I thought it was William Dwight Smith, but it may have been William Goss.
