In the "Bellegrove" lineage in Burkes it shows that Sir Robert Adair (and Jane Edmonston of Duntreath ?) had son Archibald Adair who had son Thomas Adair.
It stated that Thomas Adair was in the Battle of the Boyne with his father (1690).
Archibald Adair may have been of Litter in Kings County and Laird of Drummore in Scotland.
Thomas had married Mary Hamilon and had sons Archibald who in 1731 married Jane Chateneuf, William, John and Robert.
Archibald and Jane Chaeneuf had son John of Rath, Queens Co. who married in 1776.
I wonder if any of these descendants went to America.
