I have been following the messages on the Adair family with interest as they are in my ancestory.
An article appeared in The Sphere, [1919] London, vol. LXXVII, p. 79 as a note from Captain Edward Yeates together with an illustration of Robin Adair's harp which was in possession of Sir Robert Hodson, Kilbride, co. Wicklow.
The article mentions Thomas, 6th (?) Earl of Desmond, daughter of William McCormick and Thomas's two sons Maurice and Robert - information similar to "The Complete Peerage", Vol. IV, London 1916, on the Desmonds, p. 232-258.
My connection to the Adair's is via Jesse Adair, my g.g.g.g.grandfather.
I have been unable to find who Jesse Adair's parents were, and would appreciate any help that anyone may provide.
