Thank you Lisa.
Now I am more confused as royal 09138 gives:
fitzGerald, Thomas fitzJohn, 5th Earl of Desmond born about 1386, acceded 1400. died 1420 Paris, interred 10 Aug 1420 Paris.
Deposed 1411 by James 6th Earl, Lord of Decies.

The Complete Peerage vol.IV,pp.245-246.
son of John fitzGerald fitzGerald, 4th Earl of Desmond and Joan Roche.
He married Catherine MacCormac (as mentioned in the Adair of Bellgrove entry in Burkes).
They were listed in royal 09138 as having a son, Maurice fitzThomas fitzGerald who died 1452 - perhaps shown in an Adair entry in Burkes.

I had noted down that the 7th Earl was his uncle James "the upsurper".

I wonder if the "Complete Peerage, vol.IV,pp.245-246" may have more information or notes on both of the stated 5th Earls of Desmond (09136 or 09138) one of whom may be our Adair ancestor ?

Would like to know where he is buried in Paris, seeing that the King of England attended his funeral you would imagine that there would have been a tombstone.
Wonder if he had further children in France.
