Likely connections from IGI :
John Adair m. 12 Jan 1709 Catherine Kirton
at St. James, Clerkenwell, London.

John Adair and Katherine, dau christened,
Ellenor Adair 12 Oct 1714 at St.Anne, Soho, London. (Wasn't Robert Adair's dau. married at St. Anne, Soho much later c.1790

John Adair bc 1719 of St.James, Westminster, London, spouse Mary Sturt (Stewart ?)

The notation on Dr. Robert Adair's obit :
"The Secretary at War has the gift of the surgeon generalship of the army ; and the Paymaster of the Forces appoints to the surgeoncy of Chelsea Hospital."

I believe that Robert Adair's father-in-law or bro-in-law, Keppel/Albemarle was at one time Sec. of War.

There was an official gov. record appointing Robert Adair to Chelsea Hospital.

Believe that I found John Adair, Surgeon, on the internet under "regiment or surgeon or admiralty".
