In "Alumni Oxonienses" Vol.III by Joseph Foster (matriculation register of the University of Oxford) there are entries for Hugh Jenison Adair, 3rd son of Alexander Adair of Bradford, Somerset.
Hugh Adair was Vicar of Bradford, Wiltshire 1861-86 (see Foster's - Baron Waveney).

There was also an entry for Alexander William Adair, 1st son of Alexander Adair of London. Alexander Wm. Adair matric. June 15 1848 18yrs and was of Heatherton Park, Somerset, also see Foster's Peerage, Bar. Waveney (35).

The Somerset Census 1851 may show this family. I believe "Bristol" is also in this census. May be Bristol, Bradford, Somerset.

This leads me to query whether Bishop Archibald Adair, brother of the above's ancestor, may have gone to this town of Bristol. Am trying to trace his descendants, particularly in the 1600s and 1700s.

Would very much appreciate any information.
Thankyou.
