I have an Elizabeth Adair, 1/2 Cherokee Indian, b. ca 1780-90, SC???, that married Emanuel York in GA. The Yorks were in TN previously to moving to GA, GA land lottery in 1806-7?, then they were in Old Tuscaloosa Co., and Jefferson Co., AL by 1816-20, where he died in 1834, Jefferson Co., AL. Elizabeth Adair is said to be a first cousin to Black Watt, a known Cherokee Indian, and her brother is Robert T. or S. Adair. Am looking for Elizabeth's parents. In the History of "The Cherokee Indians" by Emmett Starr, it shows that there are two sons, John and Edward, no other children were listed. Black Watt's father is John, and Red Watt's father is Edward. Please email me directly as I don't check this site often. Thank you, Pat, Icezena@texas.net
