I am trying to straighten out the notes my Grandfather A.J. Adair left after his death in 1937. I need clarification on the following: Was Joseph Adair (b.11-12-1766in Cecil Co., Maryland and d. in 1835 in Independence, Missouri) the son of Joseph Adair Jr., son of Joseph Adair Sr., son of Thomas Adair. My Joseph was married first to Mary Childs (Chiles) and second to Elinor Overfield.
