A number of my Adair relatives settled in Texas after Order Number 11 practically destroyed Jackson County Missouri during the Civil War. My GGrandfather, Abner Ellis Adair, lived with relatives there for a time. He returned to Missouri. My Grandfather, A.J.Adair, did research on the Adair Family in the 1920's. He got us back to Thomas Adair (the first in America), his father Alexander Adair, and his grandfather, the Rev. Patrick Adair of County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He also told about Robert Fitzgerald de Adare and his slaying of the White Knight and the changing of his name to Adair after he fleed to Scotland. I would love to have any information that you have regarding the Fitzgerald's.
