Hi Maggie,
My Grgrgrgrgrandfather was John Adair, whose father was John Adair who fought in the Revolution on the side of the British and died in the next war, the War of 1812, leaving 5 children in Ontario. What you mentioned in the message I am responding to sounds like the same scenario What do you think?
