Searching for information on a distant Uncle, Harry Acton. The only thing I know about him is from a photograph of him in a military uniform possibly Civil War. He is sitting down and his hat is on a small table to his right. On this hat is a calvary emblem, its upside down compaired to all the other Civil War calvary emblems I've seen worn in Civil War photos. His uniform is dark in color. There is no rank on his uniform that I can see. One of his hands is partially tucked in where it buttons in the front. It looks like there is 12 buttons on the uniforms. He has hair on his chin. Looks to me like he is in his 30s or 40s. His hair is parted down the middle and a little curley. He has a mole on his upper lip and is wearing a wedding band. On the back of the picture it gives his name and that he was born in Kentucky. Would any cousins out there have a photo like this? I think he is somehow related to my great grandfather Simeon Anderson Acton. Would appreciate any information. Linda
