Wanda, You are so right! This family is the most confusing of all the ones I have been researching. I saw your post here, because of the ones John Acton just posted too. So I went to look at a place where some Acton's moved to later, to look and make sure that this Richard Acton was where I thought I'd seen info on him once before. It may, or may not be the same Richard Acton, but the birth date is the same, and I know for a fact that some of these Acton's from PG County and Charles Co. MD ended up in Missouri too.
So go to MOGenWeb, and inside Holt County, scroll down to the Bios. This Richard Acton is listed there for a Bio. You can check that out and see what you think.
My Henry Acton, was from PG County, MD., then moved to Morrow County OH. His sons and some of the granddaughters married and moved on to Holt County Missouri. Then some of the others moved to Noble County Indiana too. You might want to check out the Noble County site inside INGenWeb too. It is the very best that I've ever seen! All the records out of the court house are in there that are old records.
Last time I counted (along time ago) I counted 8 different Henry Actons. Since then, I've seen so many more children named Henry too. AH! They are driving me nuts!
This family is a very hard one to research and keep them all where they are suppose to be.
Hope I could have been some help to you. Atleast on this Richard. If he had moved to Virginia, maybe he went on to Missouri later. Unless you know that he died in Virginia. Another mystery!
