Hello, I'm hoping someone can help unravel this mystery for me. My research on the Acton family has had holes and unanswered questions for many years. I am working on the Southern Maryland Acton family. Those from the Southern Prince Georges' County and Charles County area. There are many different branches of the area and I am finding it very difficult to blend them together. I'd like to find the correct connection on how they are all related. This family no longer exists in this area these days, but at one point they were a very strong family line. I'd like to find out how they are all related, what other families they were related to in this area and why they don't exist here anymore. How could a family with mult-members just be wiped completely out of the area like that. My Acton branch is from Charles County. My great-great grandmother, Suzanna(h)Catherine Acton, was born in 1836. Her brother Richard Alfred Acton born in 1838, later moved to Virginia. Their mother was Christina and their father is unknown to me to date. I'd very much like to find out who he was and how he was related to the other Actons. Other Charles County Acton's I'd like to learn more about are: Hannibal Acton born abt. 1800 William Riley Acton Randolph Acton John Singleton Acton Matthew Theodore Acton Francis Acton Henry Lovelace Acton (more PG County, I think) Anyone who is familar with these families, I need your help!
