Harry Acton was one of three sons of William Acton (English descent) and Mary Ellen Young Acton ( a fine young Irishwoman). William and Mary Ellen were evangelical ministers in Fargo and held revival-style meetings in their home on third street in fargo. Harry married Amber Georgiannia Davies in 1923. The house on third street was home to Harry, his brothers, his wife and two daughters; Violette Mae b.1924 (she married John Andrew Smith of New Rockford ND after WWII and had me in 1953)and a younger sister Bette Jane.
Before coming to Fargo, the Acton family came from Canada, and before that England.
I would like to know more about the part of the family that stayed in Canada.
