Seek info on family of Richard Acton who was married 20 May 1779, in Baltimore Co., Maryland, to Jemimah Tipton. He appears on personal property tax lists of Hampshire Co., (W.)Va., 1782-1794. Wife Jemimah joins him in selling land 1790-1794. 1782 census shows 9 in their family. Believed to be same Richard Acton who appears in Ross Co., Ohio, 1810 and 1820. Probate records for him not seen. Attempting to prove that Elizabeth (ca.1790-1845), wife of Daniel Ashby (ca. 1787-1831) of Hampshire Co., (W.) Va.; Ross Co., Ohio; and Madison Co., Indiana; is his daughter. Her children include Richard and Delila, possible tracenames in the Acton family.
