My Gr.Gr.Grandmother Francis Ann Acton b. 9 Aug 1844, Iowa d. 16 Nov 1919, Idaho was the daughter of John William Acton b. 22 Feb 1818 , Preble Co., Ohio, d. 25 Sep 1875, Wapello co., Iowa and Elizabeth Rachel Myers. John Wm. was the son of James Acton b. 25 Feb 1794, Virginia, d. 25 Oct 1865, Wapello Co., Iowa and Elizabeth Tosh. James was the son of John Acton b. Eng. d. 24 Dec 1793, Rockbridge, Virginia and Hester Ward. I would love to find others working on this very difficult family.
