I have an original certificate from the United States Department of Interior Bureau of Pensions "Fathers or Mothers Pension" which awards the sum of Twelve dollars per month commencing on the 18th day of August 1902. It is awarded to John W. Acton, the father of George W. Acton.
I do not know how to tie this in to my family. My grandfather was Daniel B. (Boone) Acton, born August 10,1876. My grandfather married Laura Etta Shepherd and both are buried in the Barnes Cemetery in Clark County Indiana. and my father was George A. (Anton) Acton born November 11, 1906 in Indiana, died January 4, 1976 in Tucson, Arizona. Can anyone help me with any linking information regarding this Acton branch? Thank you.
