Hello Donald,
Our family originally came from southern England, possibly Bristol but I am not sure of the town. As far as I know, they immigrated to Newfoundland in the 1800's and from there moved to southern Labrador to the small community of Battle Harbour which is now an historic site. They finally settled in Mary's Harbour where there are still many descendants of Samuel Acreman who is my grandfather. I hope this is helpful to you in your search. Please let me know more about your searching for Acremans.
