Another interesting tidbit...

Ackerman/Acreman in Tallapoosa, Co Al and...and Holliday,in Chambers,Co Al then my Kelly, Moon, Andrews,in Macon Co,Al.

Holliday and Acreman and Hawkins went to Loundes Co,Al and the rest went to Dale and Pike Co,Al.

You are most likely right, I believe the answer is in Edgefield District SC, 1820 when Jacob Acreman died.

Estate settled 1826. I went there and asked to see the serrlement and was told there wasn't any. I asked to see the book on 1826 and thare at the top of the page was AKERMAN, Low and behold when they loaded the reel I was surprised to see James Holladay husband of daughter.

there were 4 daughters ( No names listed) but husbands were,

Holladay, Norris, Smith, Briskey.

Catherine married Holladay
Christine married Briskey

I have yet to determine who the other daughters were.

there were several males also listed on the 1820 census. So we have work to do.

Betty
