I have read previously of the Family eye disease of which Jasper N. Acree had. My name is Leigh Gatewood and I am the daughter of Norma JoAnne (Acree) Price. Her father William Paul Acree was of the Jasper Newton line. She had and I have Fleck Dystrophy of the eye. My uncle has had to have corneal transplants in both eyes and I know that my grandfather was blind when he died.
I was curious to see if there were other Acree family members of "unrelated" lines which might have this disorder of the cornea or similar problems.
I think perhaps it might link formerly "unrelated" Acree family members together.
I also wanted to know if there were any DNA tests being done as of now on this line?
