Ron, I thought the "M" in Andrew's name could be Martin as that was his mother's maiden name. Then I have found an Andrew Martin in a census record which I thought was interesting but I can make no connection there.
It was probably in the late 60's when I was asking A. Linton's grandson about his mother's family. He said her father was Abner and she had a brother Andrew that took care of the family when their father died.I have Abner down tentatively for A. Linton as I haven't found it written down anywhere but I, too, believe it would be correct.
Over the years that I have been trying to find out more on this family, you are the first person that has seemed to be interested in them.My husband can remember his great grandmother, Pricilla Acree, but her grandchildren all told me that she never spoke about her family. They said she had Indian blood in her and we thought that may be the reason she was secretive.
I will be glad to share with you what little that I have.My email address is [email protected] you send me your surface mail address, I will send you the family sheet I have worked up for A. Linton Acree's family.
I don't know where Andrew is buried or anything about his second marriage but I will be on the lookout for him.
Edith
