The Beto Acosta that I have on my records and I believe to be the person you are asking about (and that was living in the area where I was growing up) was known as Victor Acosta or Victoriano Acosta. He married Trinidad Trevino. They lived on the road from Poth, Wilson County, Texas to Koscuisko, Texas about 3-4 miles southeast of Poth, Texas and about 6 miles south of Floresville,Texas. The property is now owned by a man named Richter
I also found Victoriano Acosta listed as a grandson to Luis Ramon Acosda (my paternal gggrandfather) and wife Lucia ( Lucilla) in the 1880 census already living in Wilson County. I am trying to determine if Victor (Beto) Acosta was a son of the Poskey (correct spelling Paasche) family. I believe he was but cannot find his real parents name. I believe his father was Dank or Danquart Paasche.
There are some Poskeys burried in the catholic cemetery in Poth Texas among the Acostas. Victor Acosta also had a family cemetery on their on property in Wilson County, next to Marcelina Creek. I have seen that cemetery and one of the few headstones to be seen is one of Edwardo Acosta.
It is still there although kind of broken,
If you can help me determine or get in touch with some of the Poskey (Paasche) family, who the actual parents of Victor (Beto ) Acostaare I would appreciate it. The story is that Acosta and Poskey families journeyed from Nacagdoches to Wilson County in the late 1860's and the Poskey parents were killed and the children raised by the Acostas, since they were related.
I have a lot of information on the desendants of Victor (Beto) Acosta and stories to share.
