Louisiana Decendents of Antonio Acosta from the Canary Islands

I just received the first 12 markers from my DNA test at Family Tree DNA and the Haplogroup is J1 which is of semitic origin. This pretty much confirms that Antonio Acosta, who married Damania Perrera in the Canary Islands, and his decendents are of Sephardic origin.
